The Stage-1 assessment provides preliminary
feedback relative to your organization’s readiness, including a complete internal
and external facility and grounds review.

The Stage-2 assessment involves interviews
with multiple personnel and review of applicable records to determine, based
on objective evidence that your EMS is in conformance with the requirements
of ISO 14001 and is effective at projecting the environment.

At both of these stages, as well as
during subsequent surveillance and re-certification assessments, the assigned
auditor will provide objective feedback on your system’s performance, as well
as identify opportunities for improvement to your EMS.
