Differences Between ISO 9001:2000 and AS9110
Aerospace Requirements for Maintenance Organizations
This material is intended
for organizations that wish to comply with the requirements of
AS9110 and personnel who are engaged in auditing the requirements.
The focus is limited to the
differences (deltas) between ISO 9001:2000 and AS9110. It
assumes that the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 are understood by the
reader.
It should be noted
throughout AS9110, there are requirements that make reference to
"contract requirements" and/or "regulatory authorities." In
such cases, it is mandatory to first refer to the contract and, as
applicable, regulatory requirements and make a determination of
applicability.
Since "Notes" are included
for guidance, they have not been treated as requirements. This
does not in anyway diminish their importance.
